PALM DESERT, Aug. 16, 2016 – Dreams really do come true. Ask Thiago Braz Da Silva, the 22-year-old Brazilian pole vaulter who upset world-record holder Renaud Lavillenie of France to win the men’s pole vault on Monday night. Not only did Da Silva win gold, he set an Olympic Record of 6.03 m (19-9 1/2)!
